My daughter let me know my mother in laws piano arrived yesterday safe and sound. I am astounded at your company’s efficiency, pleasant and helpful nature (from EVERYONE I spoke with), professional, and excellent service. This piano move was navigated through three different contact people for arrangements, pick up, and delivery, and two hurricanes! Each inquiry I made was answered promptly and courteously. The timing for the delivery was amended more than once because of hurricanes hitting our area-
And my mother in law’s piano arrived in perfect condition. I don’t know how to say thank you. But… to each and every one of you at Modern Piano who make this company work in perfect tandem THANK YOU!!
I left a google review and will continue to hail accolades.
Much appreciation,
Lori LaBrecque

i had expected that Hurricane Helena would have delayed my delivery date but it was only 1 day difference from the schedule and the delivery driver kept me informed as to when and what time he would be arriving and he was right on time. The guys had it off the truck and in my home all set up within minutes and with utmost care!

I had a long distance move from Cleveland, OH to Columbus, GA with two Steinway grands. After researching several nationwide movers, Modern Piano Moving proved to be the cheapest one. However, just because they were inexpensive didn’t mean anything was sacrificed for service. The pianos were packed very carefully, kept safe, and delivered with utmost professionalism. Tony over at MPM was the best — he was there for every question and concern, and helped things be as smooth as possible!
We move all types of pianos including organs and more.

A piano’s weight can be anywhere from 200 lbs to 1200 lbs for the full concert grand pianos. Exactly how heavy is your piano, though? That will depend on various factors, including brand, style, and materials used to make the instrument. Let some professional Denver piano movers weigh in on the weights of some of the most common kinds of pianos.

When it comes to taking good care of your piano – you can’t do enough. Although it appears to stand tall and strong, the piano is one of the most delicate musical instruments and requires regular maintenance and care to continue sounding and playing well. Along with keeping its inner components tuned and maintained, a piano’s outer features also require protection from natural elements and regular gentle cleaning to preserve their strength and appearance.
While your piano is in the safety and comfort of your home, it is easy to protect it and control the temperature and humidity level around it. But once it goes into storage, there are a lot of things to consider.
When storing or moving and transporting a piano to another location, additional care and attention is required as this is not a simple process and usually is best handled by professional piano movers who can provide the right space, restrains and environment for your piano during storage and relocation.
At Modern Piano Moving, we’re experts at safely relocating pianos year-round. However, the spring and summer seasons present their own unique challenges that we have to proactively plan and adjust for. Things like increased heat and humidity can have major impacts on the materials that pianos are constructed from – primarily woods, felts, and intricate metal components. Even just a few hours of exposure to extreme conditions can potentially cause expensive damage.
Beauty. Grandeur. A rich, enchanting sound that can fill up any room it’s placed in.
Grand pianos are designed with a variety of features that make them so prized among musicians—of course, with all those features, comes the need for an instrument big enough to house them all!
In today’s blog, we will be exploring the weight breakdowns for some of the most common kinds of grand pianos (as well as a few reasons why opting for a professional move might save you time, money, and sore muscles!). Take a look.
