I had a Steinway Baby Grand Piano moved from Branson, Missouri to Virginia. I was most uncomfortable as to how the instrument would be when I saw it. I had been in Missouri 4 months before it was moved and it was a beautiful instrument. The ModernPiano truck arrived, the guys got out, came into my townhome, took a look around and said "This will be okay." Piano was taken off the truck, all wrapped up like a new one would have been. The two guys brought it in like professionals, unwrapped it, put the legs and pedal on. I talked to them while the process was taking place-it didn't bother them that I was talking. They kept doing what they needed to do and were most kind to me-we even had several laughs. Lou and Dan were outstanding in every way with this piano. Their "people skills" were truly No. 1. I had worried over this piano since my favorite professor had given this to me after passing away this past July. I thank ModernPiano, Lou and Dan for their professionalism in making a happy choral director even happier. I would highly recommend this company based on my experience. They are a 5 star.

The gentlemen who arrived (Jared and Gabriel) were the best part of the whole experience. Professional yet easy going. They knew their stuff, and they collaborated with me to get the job done right..... The only negatives I have were the miscommunication with getting pickup and drop off scheduled properly..... The pickup was about a week later than promised, then the people were told that Modern Piano couldn't make it and they would be back in a month, finally the information was relayed the pickup would be by the next day. For a $2200 move Modern should probably have a better scheduling system..... The delivery went better, but originally I was told to expect delivery mid December. Then I was told by December 6. Finally I was told Dec 1st. At that point the boys were right on time first thing in morning. We hit it off and actually had a good time getting the job done right. (I had a hoist ready for them and we got the 7' Grotrian up the stairwell easily). Everything went perfect, and like I said the guys really knew their stuff...... So overall I'm a happy customer. The piano was even still in tune!

Modern Piano was recommended by a local piano store in Indianapolis which had used the company. The company was prompt and extremely professional in all their interactions. I was particularly impressed with the care that the movers took with my piano - they treated it as something precious, not only because of its monetary value, but its personal value to me.

I have never shipped a piano so I was quite reserved. I had a 20K piano in perfect condition. The guys that showed up definitely knew what they were doing - were on time on both ends and professional and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to entrust their valuable possession. Modern Piano Moving did a difficult move for my Baldwin grand piano and did it professionally and pleasantly. I spoke with Julie in the office repeatedly, and she very professionally and patiently helped me each time. The movers went above and beyond the call of duty, helping the construction guys who had to remove an exterior double door unit to get the piano down the stairs, both before and after they brought the piano down. They then transferred my piano to Texas as smooth as silk. The guys who brought the piano in were super nice, respectful, careful, and set up the piano exactly where I wanted it. I can't recommend this company enough. I also thought the price we paid was fantastic -- way less that I had thought it would be. Thank you, Modern Piano Moving!

We needed to have a Steinway grand moved from the Denver area to a Wyoming town far off the interstate path. Modern Piano Movers helped me arrange this without any difficulties. The drivers / movers for both pick-up and delivery were careful, courteous, and obviously experienced. Not only was the piano received in Wyoming without a scratch; it remained quite in tune, attesting to care along the way and smooth, shock free trucking. The representatives I worked with on the phone for the arrangements were always helpful and pleasant. I highly recommend Modern Piano Moving. Good move and a difficult upstairs delivery of a heavy upright piano. Modern got the job done on time with the utmost care for my antique piano.

These folks know what they are doing. My baby grand piano arrived here in Idaho when promised, in excellent condition. Shawn and Dylan reassembled our piano quickly and took the time to set it in our living room right where we wanted it.

I was the sender, and this end went extremely smoothly. The men were prompt, courteous and quick. They were in and out... a well oiled machine. The delivery end was apparently much more troublesome. It took over 2 hours for them to figure out how to move the piano up the same staircase that 2 other companies had (in previous moves) been able to negotiate much more quickly. There was damage to one wall on the delivery end as well.
