They were great - it was an odd route and no one else would take it, but they did and it was on a good schedule from day 1. Piano arrived without any damage, as if it hadn't moved across the country at all. Very happy!

My overall experience was fantastic start to finish. All staff that I interacted with were professional, knowledgeable, and nice. My piano was delivered in the time-frame estimated and in same condition it was when picked up. I would highly recommend modern piano and if I should need instruments moved would definitely call them.

I run the piano sales department in a family owned music store in West Chester PA. I have called upon Modern Movers probably a half dozen times to move pianos across the country for us. They are experts in the field, and do a very professional job. They provide a quote for the service right away with your first phone call. When they pack the piano, they triple check that everything is packed safely. The have the proper equipment train the movers, who are always very professional and cordial. In every case, my customer was very happy after their piano was delivered. I highly recommend them if you are moving out of state, and you really value your piano.

Everyone that I spoke with were very polite and helpful. I was notified when the process of pickup was to begin and given a probable time of delivery. The two drivers were very nice and helpful. The only problems were with miscommunication. When I spoke with a woman about delivery, I told her that I was going out of town the day before the final date given. She said that was no problem, that they were planning on delivering before then. A week or so later I received a call saying the piano would be delivered on the Saturday I told the woman I would be out of town. I called back and she asked if I could get someone to be at the home so it could still be delivered. I said I would have to ask someone and get back to her. I called her back the next day to say my sister would be there for the delivery. The next day after that I got a phone message from Chris asking if I had gotten someone to be at the home for delivery. I had to call back and spoke with the initial women I spoke with and she said the notes were in the record that I had called. Maybe Chris did not check the records, I don't know. Anyway, my only suggestion in better internal communication.

I spoke with several different people at their office over the course of a month, and every single person was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and accommodating. They kept me updated and informed before the move and on the delivery day, which was much appreciated. The men who delivered the piano were professional and careful. Also, the price was fantastic! I moved a 5 foot baby grand cross-country from San Francisco to CT. The move went great. No problems at all. There was no damage to piano, they showed up when they said they would, gave me several days notice ahead of time for both pick up and delivery. Everyone I talked to on the phone at Modern was courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The movers were polite and professional. After looking on the internet, it came down to Modern and another company. I asked a lot of questions when I talked on the phone with both companies. One thing that made me choose Modern was that they use their own movers, and don't farm out the job.
