I used Modern Piano to move my mom's 1925 Baby Grand Piano from Fort Wayne, IN to Naperville, IL. They had the best price and came highly recommended by Cleat at Sweetwater. The two movers took their time to thoroughly wrap & protect the piano, including piano legs and bench. They treated the piano as if it was their own family heirloom. Definitely 'white glove' care was taken! Also, the movers were courteous and respectful of my mom's home. Piano was picked up on 8/22 and delivered on 9/15, well within their 30 day time period. I received confirmation 2 days before pick up & delivery which included a 3 hour window when movers would arrive. The movers also called 1 hour before arriving on the designated days. The two movers who delivered the piano were just has conscientious as the two movers who picked up the piano. The customer service representative (Misty) was very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. The quote I received was exactly what I was charged. If I ever need a piano mover in the future I will be calling Modern Piano!

We had a 600lb antique upright piano that has been in the family for 70 years moved from Texas to Massachusetts. We couldn't have asked for a better move! Our requests were met, the piano was picked up quickly and efficiently, and the piano arrived without a scratch or a dent! The movers were pleasant, asked questions and took care of the piano as if it belonged in their family. Would HIGHLY recommend for anyone needing long-distance piano movers!

Our piano was in a very good shape and we wanted the best care possible for shipping and delivery. The gentlemen came on time and packed the piano like pros, efficiently and quietly. Before we knew it they were out the door. We had to ask them to pause so we could tip them and supply them with water bottles. The piano was delivered intact on time and without a scratch. This company really knows what it is doing. We are very pleased!

Modern Piano Moving was there for me every step of the way and that is saying a lot. This was such a huge undertaking to relocate a grand piano (also a rare one) across country from the Southeastern US to the Pacific Northwest. There were many logistical matters involved and the staff was very compliant in meeting these demands as well as personable. The only suggestion I would offer at this stage is that they find another way to lift an instrument up on its third leg without using the pedal lyre as support; there are special devices made just for this. Although everything came through fine, it is always better to err on the safer side. PS I do appreciate that the owner of the company was on location when the piano was first picked up.

Modern Piano moved my Steinway Model B from Ohio to Wyoming 13 years ago, and from Wyoming to North Carolina this week. Both moves went perfectly, and I will use them if I move again. They are a great company.

Modern Piano is the 4th piano moving company I have worked with in the past 20 years. They are by far the best! The Modern staff are great communicators and very professional. I was always informed of the next step in the process in a timely manner. My 800 pounds antique player piano arrived in perfect condition. Our move involved several stairs and travelling on a rural road. They knew exactly how to handle every situation. I highly recommend them for your piano moving needs.

They responded quickly to my initial inquiry, established an expected schedule, and notified me as promised for both pickup and delivery. More importantly both the pickup team and the delivery team were highly-professional and careful with our piano that had to go across the country. The wrapped the piano carefully, and even plastic wrapped it for the short trip between the house and the truck to protect it from the rain that started right after they arrived. Absolutely top-notch!

I didn't know anything about Modern Piano when I contacted them, but I can tell you that they are a very professional and reputable company. Everything they told me they would do, was exactly what they did. The gentlemen who picked up the piano were very friendly and professional. If you need a piano moved, I would not use anyone but Modern Piano!! I don't fill out surveys but I made an exception with this one, because this company was SOOOO GOOD.
